This deeply personal book explores the topic of suicide, aiming to bring comfort, connection, and visibility to those who may be struggling. Motivated by my own connection to the subject, I set out to create something quiet yet powerful something that says you are not alone. Inspired by the yellow ribbon symbol, I screen-printed the words "you are not alone" onto ribbons and placed them in rural locations, photographing them as subtle messages of hope in reflective, often isolated spaces.

 

These images became the heart of the book, paired with fictional suicide notes to offer an intimate glimpse into unseen struggles. The design is intentionally minimal, allowing space for the photography and handwritten elements to speak with honesty and empathy. Every detail from the layout to the colour choices was thoughtfully crafted to offer reassurance and raise awareness in a meaningful way.
